As the world transitions towards renewable energy sources, solar power stands out as one of the most promising alternatives. Solar irradiance—the measure of solar power received per unit area—is critical in determining the feasibility and effectiveness of solar energy projects. Accurate assessment of solar irradiance enables engineers, planners, and policymakers to make informed decisions about solar energy deployment, optimizing energy generation and enhancing investment returns.
This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of solar irradiance and resource assessment, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge to evaluate solar energy potential in various geographical locations. Through this course, learners will gain insights into the methodologies and tools used in resource assessment, paving the way for successful solar energy implementations.
