Materials Management & Inventory Control Training Course

Production lines don't stop because a plant lacks skilled workers or working equipment nearly as often as they stop because the right material simply wasn't there when it was needed. Materials Management exists to prevent exactly that failure, coordinating the flow of raw materials, components, and supplies so operations never have to pause and wait. The Materials Management and Inventory Control Training Course, is built for professionals responsible for making sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time, without excess tying up capital.

This course treats materials management as an integrated discipline connecting sourcing, storage, and production planning into one coordinated function. Participants learn how strategic procurement decisions affect material cost, quality, and availability, how disciplined stock management balances availability against carrying cost across raw materials and components, and how efficient warehouse operations keep materials organized and accessible for production needs. The course also covers structured planning methods that align material availability with production schedules, along with how to design smooth materials flow from receiving through to the production line. Participants leave with a practical framework for managing materials that keeps operations running without excess cost or waste.
